Our collective “Diffraction” was formed during the COP21 while training ourselves, then helping groups to prepare for creative civil disobedience. Diffraction is linked with other collectives and networks for environmental and social justice in the world.
Diffraction refers to the behavior of waves encountering an obstacle or an opening: their distribution interferes, and escapes with an increased intensity. Whether they’re made of light, sound, water, or matter, diffracted waves end up where they were not expected.
Let our experiments and practices go forth to all horizons; let new encounters and “interferences” diverge in unexpected directions, reaching forgotten interstices.
